Cancer awareness

If you have symptoms that are concerning you and you can’t explain, contact your GP for advice.

This includes symptoms that are unexplained and persistent, such as:

  • Lumps
  • Weight loss
  • Blood in your poo or pee
  • A change of bowel habit
  • Extreme tiredness
  • Unexplained pain
  • Coughs that have lasted over 3 weeks, especially if you have ever smoked.

These can occasionally sometimes be symptoms of cancer and it is important to discuss them with your GP if you are worried.
