Getting Here:
The practice is served by ramps to make it accessible for wheelchair users. Due to the age of the building, our lift to the first floor does not fit a full-size wheelchair, but we are happy to see all patients requiring a wheelchair on the ground floor.
Arriving by Car: Limited free public parking is available on Ashfield Road (opposite Cheadle library). Alternatively, Massie Street Car Park (pay and display) is a few minutes walk from the practice. There is space at the front of the practice to pick up / drop off.
Arriving by Bus: The following bus services currently go through Cheadle Village -11, 42B, 42C, 309, 312, 310, 812, 857 – it is a short walk down to the practice from the bus stop.
Arriving by Bicycle: Unfortunately we do not have dedicated cycle storage at the practice, however there are a number of cycle lanes in the local area, including between Massie Street Car Park and Ashfield Crescent, as well as Ashfield Road.
Out of Hours
Out of Hours GP care for patients at Cheadle Medical Practice is provided by NHS 111. For urgent advice and treatment, please go the NHS 111 website or call dialling 111. Calls to 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles. The duty doctor or nurse there will discuss the problem with you and may advise you over the phone, or will either ask you to attend the Stockport Mastercall out-of-hours centre or arrange a home visit if appropriate.
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In an emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and/or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
