Out of Hours GP care for our patients is provided by NHS 111. For urgent advice and treatment, please call NHS 111 by dialling 111. Calls to 111 are free from both landlines and mobiles. The duty doctor or nurse there will discuss the problem with you and may advise you over the phone, or will either ask you to attend the Mastercall out-of-hours centre or arrange a home visit if appropriate.
The following Walk-in Centres are also available:
- MRI (situated within the A&E Department) telephone 0161-276-5193. Monday – Friday 8.30am-10pm, Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays 10am-10pm
Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
