Under the Health & Social Care Act 2008 the Care Quality Commission Registration Regulations 2009 Part 4, the registering body (Cheadle Medical Practice) is required to provide to the Care Quality Commission a statement of purpose.
THE PRACTICE
Cheadle Medical Practice practices from, a terrace of Georgian houses in the centre of Cheadle Village. The building is situated in a conservation area opposite Cheadle Primary School. The building went underwent a major extension and refurbishment a few years ago.
We have 12 consultation rooms – two of which are equipped for procedures including minor ops and coil insertions.
The building is compliant with control of infection and DDA requirements. There is an access ramp for those with mobility problems at the front of the building and an internal lift for access to the first floor.
We have 5 GP Partners, Salaried GP’s and one or more postgraduate doctors training to be GP’s. Locum GPs are employed when necessary to cover GP absences.
Medical students are sometimes attached to the practice as part of their undergraduate training.
We have a nursing team consists of Practice Nurses, Healthcare assistants and a Physician Associate.
We employ Paramedics, Secretaries, IT and Finance Manager, PA, Reception Staff.
Many of our staff are part-time.
